Welcome

Thank you for visiting my blog! This place is sacred space. Suffering, beauty, hope, love, despair, confusion, and enlightenment are found here. I hope relationships and conversations occur, and that questions are asked and validation is found. You are welcome in this place.

A Little Bit About Me…

I hurt. I love. I laugh. I write. I pray. I question. I struggle. I hope.

I’m a wife, a daughter, a mother, a sister, a friend.

I received a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from Warner Pacific College (2006).

My life changed forever during college. I married a man that I loved with all of my heart, and then a year later that marriage ended. I experienced the pain of adultery, deceit, and witnessed the power of sexual addiction. I have been betrayed physically, emotionally, and spiritually. But the story doesn’t end there. Through a portion of this blog I hope to share how tragedy has shaped me, what healing looks like, and how I have experienced beauty in the breakdown.

I am currently writing my first book, Stranger in My Bed: A Story of Sexual Addiction and Betrayal. At this time, I am seeking literary representation.

What’s Happening Now?

I write about navigating through faith and suffering. You can expect three to five new posts each week, and you are welcome to subscribe to receive instant updates.

I’ve written a series entitled ”Runaway Protestant” in which I explore my journey to Catholicism. If you’re curious, please visit my Protestant Suburbia right here.

Mondays on this blog have been appointed “Monk Mondays“. I am intrigued with monastic life and would like to explore it further. The first Monk Monday, a monk convinced me that I needed to shut my mouth. Really looking forward to learning from monks and nuns this year.

Have a topic or series in mind that you would like me to cover in this space? Send me an e-mail through my contact page. I love connecting with my readers!
